Activities are a must for all round development of your children

“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” We are all familiar with this quote. It has been known since time immemorial that a variety of activities are helpful for growing children. The burden of competitive studies leave students with so little time for other activities. The advent of internet and television has further compounded this problem. Is there a way out of all this seemingly hopeless situation.

For overall child development experts today agree that there should be a healthy mix of physical and mental activities. Most of the physical activities are available both in school as well as outside. But what about the mental activities.

Activities of fun and brain development

These are the times when you need to plan for an activity for your kids in such a way that it does not intrude upon their study schedule. Here is a list.

  • Take you children out for a mini vacation. It can be a short drive out of the city limits, to some place away from the grind of the city.
  • Encourage your child to pick up a hobby and work on it for a short time of say half an hour every day.
  • If available in the school, impress your child to join a game or sport.
  • Create situations where children are able to interact with others.

The problem facing parents today is that how much will they organise activities for their children. Most parents rely on the school to do so. Attending school itself is part of the activity. But the burden of studies and syllabus is too huge.

What we offer at Lekhnee Academy

At Lekhnee Academy we have carefully curated two activities for children, Abacus and Vedic maths. There activities will make sure your child gets the necessary benefit for remaining mentally alert and active.

  • They helps children to solve complex and simple mathematical calculations with ease. This increases their confidence levels and greatly improves the chances of getting better grades in maths and other subjects.
  • Though they are considered to be an alternate system of mathematics, the applications can be used in both studies as well as day to day life.
  • Children get confident with numbers. Their phobia for maths is over. Good bye calculators too.
  • These activities are known to enhance the cognitive abilities of the brain.

Both these courses are related to studies but are clearly designed to be presented to the students in the form of a fun activity.
